Hey I'm Alice! 

A kitesurfing accident 5 years ago resulted in whiplash and stress-fractures along my spine...

My whole body seized up and that’s when the chronic back pain started…

After being turned away from the doctor a few times, I realised that if I wanted to relieve my lower back pain I needed to do it myself.

I came up against two main struggles:  
  • The WHAT: I had no idea what would be helpful for my lower back pain.
  • ​The HOW: Even if I knew what might help, how would I find the time? How expensive would it be? How would I know if it would actually make a difference?
I signed up for my first Yoga Medicine training: 60 hours dedicated to learning all about the anatomy of the spine and how yoga-inspired exercises, breathing practices, self massage techniques could help restore my mobility, strength and relieve pain.
I changed from feeling like a depressed victim of my back pain to taking ownership of the situation and becoming genuinely curious and interested in what I could do to make it feel better.
